Hair Transplant Surgery
Hair Transplantation is an incredibly effective treatment for baldness, based upon the sound scientific principal of donor dominance. Donor dominant hair is that which is found to the rear and sides of the scalp. This area is called the fringe and it usually continues to grow throughout our life time. This hair also continues to grow if carefully transplanted to areas of baldness. In terms of success, this method is without peer.

To be suitable for hair transplant surgery, patients need to have donor dominant hair remaining in sufficient quantities to make transplanting viable. If there is not enough available donor follicles to cover the balding part of the scalp, or enough to be taken from the fringe without it being noticeable, it is much harder to have complete success. In years gone by, many potential transplant surgery clients where not suitable. However, modern techniques have led to an increase in proficiency and efficiency which allows more people than ever to be eligible.
Baldness in men usually occurs between the late teens and the 40 to 50 age range. Men may suffer varying degrees of baldness but, in general, balding will accelerate with age. It is a congenital condition which can be inherited either from the mother or the father. The condition of hair loss, also known as Androgenic Alopecia, is caused by abnormally high levels of androgen, a male sex hormone.
There are two methods used by Nu Cosmetic clinics to perform the hair transplant surgery. The first is called Follicular Unit Strip Surgery, or FUSS. The patient receives a local anaesthetic to the donor dominant area to be transplanted, usually at the back of the head. Strips of scalp are removed from the donor dominant region and then individual hair follicles are cut from the strip, before being reinserted into the balding area of the head. This leaves a small scar, hidden under the rear hairline. However, through the techniques utilised by Mr Milkani at the Nu clinic, this scarring is left to a minimal amount.
The second method of transplantation is called Follicular Unit Extraction, also known as, the FUE hair transplant. This technique, if carried out by expert hands, will create a natural looking hair pattern of new hair growth, with no visible scarring. Instead of using a scalpel, the surgeon uses a circular punch to extract individual follicular units of around 1mm diameter. Each follicular unit is transferred individually into tiny incisions, made in the scalp where baldness has occurred. Mr Milkani has developed a unique technique to maximise the efficacy of FUE hair transplant, so that implants are most likely to grow after surgery.
This kind of treatment is available for those who have suffered over-thinning of the eye brows. This may be due to many things, such as over plucking, the ageing process, burns or excess stress. Eye brow restoration takes only a few hours. It requires a great deal of skill to accomplish but gives very gratifying results, making denser, natural looking eye brows.
There are two bona fide alternatives to surgical treatment. These are U.S. Food and Drug Association (FDA) approved and are endorsed by leading specialists in the field. Going along the route of using other products can be a health risk and a waste of money.
Rogaine
Rogaine, or Minoxidil, can be used in two concentrations: 2% concentration can be acquired over the counter, whereas 5% concentration can be used in conjunction with a treatment plan, through a hair restoration specialist physician, when it gives its best results. This drug is applied direct to the affected area of scalp and can be used by both sexes, although it has been found most successful in women.
Propecia
This drug, whose clinical name is Fasteride, is taken orally and causes hair follicles to interact differently with androgens in the scalp. This medication can only be acquired for men by prescription.
Milkani has pioneered and innovated in the most cutting edge procedures in FUE and FUSS, through his qualifications, hard work, experience and talent in his field. He has trained and practiced all over the world, including the UK, Italy and Asia. He is only one of a few physicians able to carry out the grafting extraction process that is involved in FUE hair transplant. The results of his work have been transformative for his patients of all sexes, including transgender.

Innovation
Mr Milkani has mastered the delicate, more intricate techniques involved in FUE. He has paid particular attention to becoming adept at the implantation process, which positively affects the follicle survival rate so that the patient leaves his care with better results in post surgical hair growth. Through his pioneering use of conventional instruments, the doctor has made the FUE treatment more effective than strip grafts and also more affordable.
With the procedure of hair transplantation becoming cheaper, more people than ever are able to approach the Nu Cosmetic Clinic for treatment. For more information, contact us. |
